Happy February and Happy Black History Month, travelers!
I don’t know about you, but I love new beginnings. You all should already know how I feel about Mondays and New Year’s, but I feel the same way about the beginning of the month. It’s a big giant reset button and an opportunity for you to make plans to execute flawlessly. Now, speaking of planning, Spring Break is coming up. Since I work in the public school system, I know my comrades are anxiously waiting for that special time in March when we get to escape and attempt to relive our college days… or simply catch up on sleep. With all of that being said, I have the perfect answer for you if you are still trying to figure out what to do for Spring Break but you don’t feel like necessarily doing all of the planning. Meet Urban Cruise Weekend, hosted by Urban Events Global.
When I tell you all that the events thrown by Urban Events Global are legit, I am not playing. The Founder and CEO, Kevin Knight, knows how to throw a great party that is enjoyable for all patrons. Perhaps you might have heard of Urban Excursion Weekend or Urban Camp Weekend? Well, Urban Cruise Weekend is a part of the family and an opportunity for you to live the fabulous life for a great package deal. I think the best thing about it is the fact that once you get yourself on the ship, you don’t have to do anything but party and have a great time.
What is the Urban Cruise Weekend?
Departing from its port in Galveston, Texas, the Urban Cruise Weekend is an annual four-night adventure to Cozumel, Mexico geared toward a “professional fun urban audience”. Including fun days at sea, you can expect comedy shows, fine dining, good drink, meet & greets, and just a dang good time. As previously mentioned, it is put on by Urban Events Global, who are known for their around the year epic adventures including Urban Camp Weekend and Urban Excursion Weekend.
When is the Urban Cruise Weekend taking place?
Kidding. The ship will depart from its port in Galveston, Texas on Thursday, March 16 at 4:00 pm and will return on Monday, March 20 around 8:00 am.
How much does it cost to attend Urban Cruise Weekend?
Are you trying to treat yourself a little bit or act like the Super Bowl MVP for a weekend? There are various packages available for you from 2 to 4-person cabins. If you want to travel solo, which you know I am a fan of, you would need to still need to pay the single supplement (i.e. pay for a double). Check out the packages HERE. That’s not all. If you are planning an event or have an organization, there is an affiliate program registration option available too. Clutch, right?
Why do I need to attend Urban Cruise Weekend?
I think the first word of the event says it all. Urban. There are rare opportunities in which a person of color gets to be a part of the majority crowd. I have never been on a cruise (gasp), and I cannot fathom a better idea than to spend my time with a group of young professionals of color (although everyone is welcome) and simply turn up. You work hard and planning a trip should not stress you out more than your 9-5 does. That ruins the fun for you. Kevin and his team at Urban Events Global have been working meticulously to hand select the best events for the crowd and to make sure that each item on the itinerary is #ForTheCulture.
In all seriousness people, this is for us, by us, and guaranteed to be a great time. I don’t like to hype myself up about things for fear of disappointment, but I can almost say for a fact, that you will not be let down by Urban Events Global. They care about their client and want to keep your business. I encourage you to check out their website and stalk them on social media to get a better picture of what to expect. Most importantly, I encourage you to act now because March 16 will be here before you know it!
