Dope Event Alert!- Too Fly Week

Happy Wednesday, travelers!

We are due for a great week. Not only because it is my birthday week but because one of my favorite causes is back in Dallas. It is officially #TooFlyWeek and they are kicking it off tonight.

As you might have seen in the past, Hardly Home and The Scheme Team are partnering up to bring you #TooFlyWeek as they strive to raise funds for passport scholarships that will be given to urban youth.  This is near and dear to my heart, as you all know I love the kids and I love to travel as well. When you combine the two together, my heart warms. Add in my birthday and now I'm just ridiculously excited.

Just what is Too Fly?

Too Fly has cultivated fun, exciting pop-up events that allow networking andΒ socializing, all while raising awareness and funds for this program. We have successfully thrown these events in NYC, ATL, Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma City.Β  Funds raised through our events are given to our philanthropy partner, The Hardly Home Initiative (501c3), which processes the scholarship applications and distributes the passports.Β

Where do you come in?

The goal for The Passport Party / Project is to give 100 passport scholarships and to date, they have raised enough money for 50. This is where YOU can help, traveler. By attending the events for Too Fly Week Dallas (or a city near you), proceeds from food and drink will go towards the fundraiser.  In essence, you are literally pouring for passports. How dope is that? Have fun and kick it while supporting a great cause. Everybody wins.

To start off Too Fly Week, catch them tonight at Dallas' infamous Wings Day. You're not a true Dallas resident until you have been to WingsDay to turn up on a Wednesday night with their $5 daiquiris.  Then, on the BEST day in April *cough*, Friday, April 21, they will be hosting a happy hour at my favorite Deep Ellum bar Drugstore Cowboy.  There will even be live music with some fire Dallas artists like Blythe Dennis. Admission to the happy hour is free and public drink sales will go towards the funding of passports.

To bring it home, on Sunday, April 23, there will be a day party with my newest favorite Dallas DJ, DJ View. Folks, I promise, View is legit and if you haven't heard him, you NEED to be at Sunday's event. I beg of you. He could have a party at 6am and would have it turnt like it was midnight. This is not a boost either.  Aside from getting lit with sounds by DJ View, the party will take place on a rooftop and door swag will be available for attendees. You can purchase tickets for the day party at or at the door.

All in all, if you believe that our underserved youth should be afforded the opportunity to travel the world, you should definitely support this initiative.  Even if you are not able to attend any of the events, you are still able to donate directly to the cause at I'll certainly be at some of the events and I hope to catch you there!
